18 & 22-Carat Gold Tourmaline, Emerald, Polki, Ruby
This sautoir is composed of 22 carat gold links symmetrically set at intervals with tourmaline and emerald beads and holding a pendant with a meandering vines and floral motif in the Ghirlanda (garland) style.
The pendant initiates in a chromatic combination of two oppositely oblanceolated gold leaves embedded with polki, with four deltoid leaves on either side, the smaller of which are embedded with polki, while the larger ones are set with calibre-cut emeralds engraved with foliate veins.
From both emerald leaves hang trefoils composed of two south sea pearls and tourmaline oval beads en pampille. The form continues in the form of an articulated pendant in an openwork design of leaves embedded with polki with a flowerhead in the centre and seven articulated tourmaline beads ensconced by pearls. The flowerhead is composed of a bejeweled rosette of rose cut tourmaline with a chased shoulders collet and eight round polki embedded petals.
