This splendid choker is composed of six strings of pearls set at the centre with a bejeweled 22-carat gold plaque in a tessellated ghirlanda motif. The ghirlanda itself is composed of three flowerheads, the largest of which is at the centre. Each of the three is composed of lanceolated petals embedded with unfaceted rubies, with delicately carved rosettes with a ruby at the centre. Circumducting each flowerhead are concentric

foliate motifs embedded with diamonds and then rubies, and chromatically contrasting festoons of emeralds.

The base of the garland is tessellated with a sea of articulated pearls.
